The Phoenix Suns managed to regain their footing in the best-of-seven series against the New Orleans Pelicans thanks to a 112-97 Game 5 blowout.
That 15-point victory has given Arizona sportsbooks faith in the team’s chances Thursday night, when the two sides meet in a potential series-deciding Game 6 in the Big Easy.
The Suns were able to secure a one-sided victory Tuesday night thanks in large part to the effort turned in by forward Mikal Bridges — who scored a career playoff high 31 points.
Bridges was joined by veteran guard Chris Paul, who rebounded from a miserable four-point performance in Game 4 to score 22 with 11 assists.
It’s still unclear whether do-it-all guard Devin Booker will be able to play in Game 6, as he continues to rehab from a hamstring injury suffered in Game 2.
One way or another, the Suns and Pelicans meet inside New Orleans’ Smoothie King Arena at 4:30 p.m. Arizona time Thursday on TNT.

Suns See NBA Championship Futures Improve Slightly
The Suns have seen their 2022 NBA betting title odds improve slightly, thanks to their Game 5 win over the Pelicans.
Prior to Tuesday’s game, the Suns’ best title odds were +450 on BetMGM, Caesars Sportsbook and DraftKings, but have since improved to +400 on all three sites.
Over at FanDuel Sportsbook, the Suns have gone from +550 to +430 thanks to Tuesday’s 15-point thrashing of New Orleans.
