Suns Look to Surpass Preseason Win Total for Fourth Straight Season
Fact Checked by Michael Peters

Despite the turmoil around Robert Sarver's ownership, it’s been a banner-worthy past 24 months for the Phoenix Suns on the court, with the franchise’s first Western Conference title in 18 years and the most wins in the league over the last two seasons.

Now, the focus in the Valley turns toward bringing home the franchise’s first NBA title in its 54th season, after winning a franchise record 64 games last season.

The Suns will again be a favorite of Arizona NBA betting.

BetMGM Sportsbook Arizona has Phoenix in a tie with Milwaukee and the L.A. Clippers for the second-best NBA win total at 52.5 (behind Boston at 54.5).

BetMGM also has the Suns just outside the top-five in NBA title futures at +1000, behind the Celtics (+500), Golden State (+600), Bucks (+650), Brooklyn and Clippers (both at +700).

To aid in your Arizona sports betting, BetArizona.com crunched the numbers on the Suns’ preseason win totals dating back to 2001.

Below are the top (and bottom) five seasons for the Suns in the last 20 years.

Where Suns Stack Up Entering 2022 NBA Season

The Suns will have to crack 60 wins for a second straight season to ensure a third consecutive double-digit over on their preseason win total at Arizona betting apps.

Phoenix’s 52.5 preseason win total is the highest the franchise has gotten since 2007, when they were pinned at 55.5 victories for the year.

That season saw the Suns nearly hit the number, finishing 55-27 before getting knocked out in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs by San Antonio in five games.

Monty Williams’ bunch is pegged at 50-plus wins by oddsmakers for the fourth time since 2001, clearing the over in two of those previous four campaigns.

Whether the franchise’s decision to retain center and former No. 1 overall pick Deandre Ayton’s services backfires is to be seen.
