Arizona sports betting takes a key step forward at the stroke of midnight on Saturday, when bettors can begin early registration of their accounts.
Early registration for new Arizona sports betting apps allows users to score welcoming offers and discounts, in addition to having an account ready to roll once legal sports betting begins on Sept. 9 in the Grand Canyon State.

Saturday’s early registration launch coincides with the opening day of legal daily fantasy sports play in the state, with several DFS operators launching in Arizona this weekend.
There will be 20 licenses for sports betting allocated by the Arizona Department of Gaming, split evenly among Arizona’s tribes and professional sports teams.
The state’s market is expected to be popular when it goes live, according to a recent survey, commissioned by BetArizona.com, of Arizona residents.
Four operators have confirmed to BetArizona.com that their licensing applications have been approved — FanDuel (partnered with the Phoenix Suns), BetMGM Arizona (partnered with Arizona Cardinals and Gila River Community), DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona (partnered with TPC Scottsdale) and Penn National Gaming/Barstool Sports (partnered with Phoenix International Raceway).
Here are some of the early registration promotional offers from operators:
DraftKings Arizona: For DraftKings, users can take advantage of $150 in free bets after registering an account, with an acquisition offer of 20% first deposit match up to $1,000. Both deals can be used simultaneously. The minimum deposit is $5.
BetMGM Arizona: For BetMGM, the early registration offer is $200 in free bets upon registration, with up to $1,000 in free bets as the company’s acquisition offer. The operator does not allow users to use both deals at the same time, however. The minimum deposit is $10.
WynnBET Arizona: WynnBet Arizona has announced that it will offer early registration in Arizona, but has not released terms of the deal, or about its acquisition offer.
Caesars Arizona: Caesars Arizona will be offering a $100 free bet, plus a $1 free bet for every point/run in the following games (just Arizona teams) when you place a bet before Sept. 13 — Arizona Cardinals vs. Tennessee Titans (Sept. 12); Arizona State vs. UNLV (Sept. 11); Arizona vs. San Diego State (Sept. 11); and Diamondbacks vs. Mariners (three-game series between Sept. 10-12). It also has $5,000 in risk free bets as an acquisition offer.
FanDuel Arizona: In Arizona, FanDuel will be offering an early registration bonus of $100 in site credit that is split $75 for sports betting and $25 for daily fantasy sports. It also has a welcome offer of up to $1,000 in risk-free bets. Both deals can be accepted. The minimum deposit is $10.
More promotional offers will be available as approved sportsbooks announce their early registration details. Arizona NFL betting sites are scheduled to go live on Sept. 9, as the league opens its season when the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Dallas Cowboys.
For those interested in Arizona Cardinals betting, they open their season at the Tennessee Titans on Sept. 12.
