Diamondbacks Face Long Arizona Sports Betting World Series Odds in 2022

Diamondbacks Face Long Arizona Sports Betting World Series Odds in 2022
Fact Checked by Michael Peters

The Arizona Diamondbacks' first full season since sports betting in Arizona launched features long championship odds and dismal win projections.

A year after the franchise lost 110 games, which was good for the second-worst record in D-backs history, the prognosis for the year ahead is not much better — with Arizona betting apps projecting the team to barely avoid their second consecutive 100-loss season.

Whether the D-backs can get hot and qualify for the MLB playoffs for the first time in five years is unknown, though we do know Arizona begins its season against the San Diego Padres at 6:40 local time April 7.

Here’s an online MLB betting breakdown of where the D-backs stand ahead of the regular season.

BetMGM Arizona

Arizona’s odds are especially bleak at BetMGM Arizona, where the D-backs rank either dead-last, or among the cellar-dwellers in the MLB, in terms of World Series and National League championship odds.

The operator has the D-backs at +25000 to win the World Series, which ranks 28th among 30 MLB teams, to go with +12000 odds of winning the National League, and +10000 odds of capturing the team’s first NL West crown in 11 years.

The D-backs’ NL and NL West odds rank either last or in a tie for last, setting the stage for what could be a forgettable 2022 campaign for manager Torey Lovullo and company.

Caesars Sportsbook Arizona

The franchise’s playoff and championship odds aren’t a whole lot rosier at Caesars Sportsbook, which has Arizona in a tie with the Baltimore Orioles for the longest World Series odds at +25000.

Arizona’s National League and National League West chances aren’t a lot better, either, with the D-backs listed at +12500 to win the former (tied with Pittsburgh for last), and +10000 to win the latter.

Caesars Sportsbook Arizona lists the D-backs’ over/under win total at 66.5 for 2022, which would be the sixth-lowest in franchise history.

DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona

The oddsmakers at DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona have equally low expectations.

Arizona ranks 29th on DraftKings’ World Series odds board at +20000 and second-to-last in NL odds at +12000.

The D-backs’ NL West odds are +10000, which ranks in a tie with Colorado for last.

DraftKings also has Arizona’s win total over/under at 66.5 games and gives the D-backs +1300 odds of making the playoffs.
