After consecutive second-half collapses against Washington and the New York Giants, Sunday provided a monumental sense of relief for fans of the Arizona Cardinals.
Despite entering Sunday’s game against the 2-0 Cowboys as an 11.5-point Arizona sports betting underdog, the Cardinals punched the visitors in the mouth early and often — building a 21-10 halftime lead and holding on from there.
Arizona never trailed in the 28-16 win, with Kyzir White pulling off the finishing touch for the Cardinals — the sixth-year linebacker snagged a Dak Prescott pass over the middle for a game-sealing interception late in the fourth quarter. Sunday’s victory over the Cowboys was the Cardinals’ first since they took down the L.A. Rams, 27-17, in Week 10 of the 2022 season.
It also was tied for the 12th largest upset by Arizona betting apps point spread in the NFL since 2018. BetArizona.com crunched the numbers to see where the Cardinals’ latest win ranks among upsets over the last half-decade.
