While the 2022-23 NFL season might have been a bust for the Arizona Cardinals, it certainly didn’t stop fans from wagering on their team.
BetArizona.com utilized Statista’s 2022 “Attitudes Toward Sports Betting” survey of NFL fans with 1,020 respondents to find the fanbases with the highest percentage of sports betting users.
The findings are just a sample size of NFL fans who claimed to be a fan of a specific NFL team. The percentage represents how many people are sports bettors out of the sample.
It’s likely little surprise, given the success of Arizona sportsbooks, that the Cardinals would rank high on the list.
NFL Fanbases Who Bet The Most
Of the betting fanbases, Bills fans look to have the best chance of cashing in, with Arizona sports betting apps listing them as +800 to win the Super Bowl, behind Kansas City (+600) and Philadelphia (+700).
Where Cardinals Fans Rank Across The NFL
It seems like the implementation of Arizona sports betting in 2021 proved to be a big-time draw for wagering in the state, as the Cardinals had the third-highest percentage of fans (8%) who are sports betting users.
That figure trailed only the New York Giants (13%) and Buffalo Bills (11%) leaguewide, while Cardinals’ fans finished ahead of supporters of the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys (6% each).
Based on Arizona’s longshot Super Bowl odds (+20000, ranking dead-last in the NFL) and NFC odds (+8000, also dead-last) on the Cardinals’ official sportsbook partner’s site (BetMGM Sportsbook Arizona) — it seems like Cardinals fans will have to dig a little deeper to find betting value during the upcoming NFL season.
