Since the team’s inception in 1998, the Arizona Diamondbacks have been known for a few things, those being the club’s lone championship three years after its inaugural season, the pool residing in the Chase Field outfield and the franchise’s diamondback-themed logo.
According to a recent survey of baseball fans, Arizona’s logo is, in fact, also one of the most recognizable emblems in the game, with 86% of respondents correctly guessing Arizona’s logo. Where does that rank across MLB?
Using a quiz from Sporcle.com, BetArizona.com figured out what MLB logos are most iconic and recognizable. We created the ranked list based on the percentage of quiz takers who guessed the logo correctly.
Rank | MLB Logo | % Guessed Correctly |
1 | Boston Red Sox | 94.9% |
2 | Chicago White Sox | 94.4% |
3 | Toronto Blue Jays | 94.1% |
4 | Chicago Cubs | 93.6% |
5 | New York Yankees | 93.1% |
6 | New York Mets | 89.3% |
7 | Houston Astros | 87.7% |
8 | Los Angeles Angels | 87.6% |
9 | St. Louis Cardinals | 86.7% |
10 | Arizona Diamondbacks | 86.0% |
Of the 30 teams in today’s MLB, only nine franchises had logos that were guessed at a higher clip than Arizona’s 86% score, led by the Boston Red Sox at 94.9%, followed by the Chicago White Sox (94.4%), Toronto Blue Jays (94.1%) and Chicago Cubs (93.6%).
Throw in the New York Yankees (93.1%), New York Mets (89.3%), Houston Astros (87.7%), Los Angeles Angels (87.6%) and the St. Louis Cardinals (86.7%) and you have the full rundown of the MLB teams with logos that the masses recognized at a higher clip than Arizona’s emblem in 2025.
That off-field recognition isn’t the only success that Arizona will likely see in 2025, though, as oddsmakers from DraftKings Sportsbook currently give the D-backs -125 odds of making the postseason this season, with a win total over/under of 86.5 for the NL West club.
Based on those digital tea leaves, it looks like Arizona’s emblematic emblem might not be the only thing that baseball fans will remember about the franchise during the 2025 MLB season, which begins in earnest in just over a month.
