Kyler Murray Next Team Odds: Odds For Cardinals Franchise QB To Be Traded

Fact Checked by Nate Hamilton

With the NFL Draft more than a month away, several teams in the QB-needy league have apparently reached out to the Arizona Cardinals to gauge the team’s interest in moving on from veteran gunslinger Kyler Murray, who has three years remaining on the deal he signed with the club back in 2022.

At the time, Murray’s five-year, $230.5 million extension represented a new era for the club, which was coming off an 11-6 season that culminated in Arizona’s first playoff berth since 2015, though things have gone downhill ever since, with a 16-35 record and zero postseason trips to show for Murray’s efforts under center.

Now, The Sporting News is reporting that Arizona is actively shopping their No. 1 QB ahead of April’s draft, with the Cardinals potentially moving up in the first round to select Murray’s heir apparent, with clubs like the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns being the leading suitor for the Heisman Trophy winner out of Oklahoma.

With that in mind, BetArizona.com used its Arizona sports betting experts to break down the odds on where Murray will suit up next, with those two franchises leading the way right now.

Where Does Murray Go From Here?

While Murray still has three years and more than $50 million in base salary to go before a potential contract out clause in 2027, it’s looking more likely by the day that his time in the Valley is running out, with teams like the Giants and Browns leading the way to land him via trade, at +1100.

Throw in the Las Vegas Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers at +1500 apiece and the New York Jets at +1750 and you have our K1 odds board covered for now, though anything is possible on the NFL’s always wild trade market, especially given the lack of franchise-caliber QBs in the 2025 draft class.

For now, what we know is that Cleveland offers the best draft pick for Arizona, with the Browns holding the second selection come April’s made-for-TV spectacle, while the Giants (No. 3 overall pick), Raiders (No. 6) and Jets (No. 7) could potentially put together a package deal that catches the Cardinals’ front office by surprise.

Either way, it seems like Murray’s tenure in Phoenix is about to run dry, with the former top pick taking a one-way trip out of town after 82 games with the club that netted him an approximate value of 77, per Pro-Football-Reference.com, with 115 passing touchdowns and 19,468 yards (to go with 3,020 yards and 31 scores on the ground) with the AFC West club between 2019 and 2024.
