While images of saguaros and warm weather may not inspire a lot of Christmas spirit, Arizonans do have the ability to tap into their favorite holiday drink to get themselves into the mood of the season.
In the 48th State, it seems like the 19th century holiday standard known as eggnog is the top drink of choice come Christmas time, with the custard dessert drink notching a search interest score of 24 points to beat out four other drinks, including peppermint mochas, mulled wine, hot toddies and spiced rum.
The only other holiday drink to notch a search interest total in excess of 10 points was peppermint mochas, which finished with a search interest score of 13 points to place well ahead of the final three drinks on Arizona’s list for the year.
BetArizona.com - your go-to for Arizona sportsbooks - wanted to get into the spirit by seeing what holiday themed drinks are the most popular in Arizona. Using Google Trends, we conducted a search between September 19, 2024- December 18, 2024, to rank drinks by search interest scores.
Rank | Drink | Search Interest Score |
1 | Eggnog | 24 |
2 | Peppermint Mocha | 13 |
T-3 | Mulled Wine | 5 |
T-3 | Hot Toddy | 5 |
T-3 | Spiced Rum | 5 |
Based on the digital tea leaves known as Google search interest scores, we can determine that Arizona residents love themselves some eggnog, with the custard drink that’s mixed with either bourbon, whiskey or rum notching a decisive victory in the Grand Canyon State.
Besides the 13 search interest score that peppermint mochas secured, the final three drinks (mulled wine, hot toddies and spiced rum) all had search interest scores of five points apiece, rounding out the Arizona holiday drinks list for the year, with all four looking up at the Christmas time classic known as eggnog in 2024.
