With a wealth of popular diets, nutritional advice and emphasis on healthy living, U.S. citizens know how to take care of the bodies and control their appetites better than ever. Salads, fruits and vegetables and even intermittent fasting are all the rage, helping Americans stay in tip top shape and not have to worry too much about getting the beach body ready come spring.
But everyone needs a cheat day, or two. And few establishments satisfy a craving like fast food, where for one meal, easy of access and superior taste can be a just reward for a good week or month of steady diet and exercise.
A little comfort food never hurt anyone, where it's the spicy nuggets from Wendy's, a trip to your local Chick-Fil-A, or maybe even the new Chicken Big Mac from McDonalds.
Ahead of Fast Food Day on Nov. 16, BetArizona.com - home to all things Arizona sports betting - analyzed the most popular fast food chain restaurants of Arizona residents by looking at the Google search results of each chain from 11/07/2023 to 11/07/2024.

Give Arizona residents some credit: They have a diverse set of tastes when it comes to fast food, with plenty of options proving popular with locals.
Overall, McDonalds just squeaked out the top spot over the past year, slightly outpacing the likes of Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A and Taco Bell, all of whom tied for No. 2.
McDonalds this fall made headlines with the debut of the Chicken Big Mac, three layers of chicken modeled off of the famous triple burger that's been a staple of the Golden Arches.
Interestingly, In-N-Out Burger couldn't beat out those mentioned above, instead tying with Jack in the Box, Chipotle, Burger King, Wingstop and Papa John's.
