Few delicacies unite Americans of all backgrounds and culinary tastes quite like a good slab of cheesecake, with residents of the Grand Canyon State having their go-to flavor when it comes to the dessert specialty that originated in Ancient Greece.
Between traditional flavors like chocolate and strawberry and more exotic tastes like pumpkin, Oreo, lemon and ricotta, there’s no shortage of favorite flavors.
With National Cheesecake Day on July 30, BetArizona.com took a break from Arizona sports betting and used Google Trends to look into which states love cheesecake the most. Then, we ranked the top flavors for each state. According to our research between March 5-12, Arizona is the 10th most interested state in cheesecake.

Arizona residents share a love of the classics when it comes to cheesecake preferences, with flavors like chocolate (11 search interest score), strawberry (10 search interest score) and “classic” (8 search interest score) battling it out with No. 1 choice pumpkin (15 search interest score).
As far as overall state-by-state rankings are concerned, Arizona’s search interest score of 67 ranked 10th nationally, behind Hawaii (100), Nevada (90), Maryland and New Jersey (75 each), Delaware (74), Utah (72), Washington D.C. and Florida (71 each) and Ohio (69).
With the summer on the horizon and families looking for ways to come together, it seems like cheesecake might be a good way to go in Arizona.
